Sources of pollution


Sources of the Pollution

Pollution is caused by introduction of undesirable and harmful elements in our environment. Such undesirable elements may be poisonous substances, substances, disease germs, smoke, dust and dirt particles, harmful bacteria, etc.
The sources mainly responsible for the pollution are as follows:
1) Industries:
Various types of industries are developed today due to urbanization in the country.The smoke, dirty water, gas coming out of industry and the solid wastes are thrown carelessly everywhere cause pollution. The pollution caused by the gas, the dirty water and solid waste of industries are known as industrial pollution.
2) Pesticide and Insecticides:
To kill the germs of food grains, to protect the wheat and paddy from the plant diseases, to kill bugs, rats and other insects, pesticides and insecticides are used.It caused air pollution and soil pollution. Thus pesticide is one of the source of Pollution.
3) Chemical Fertilizers:
Chemical fertilizer is one of the source of the pollution. Chemical substance is being used excessively today.There is more use of chemical fertilizer in the agriculture than compost manure which caused soil pollution.
4) Somke:
Smoke consists of finely divided particles produces by complete combustion.It consists predominantly of carbon particles and other combustible materials.The use of firewood coal, kerosene etc cause smoke which is source of air pollution.
5) Noise:
The sound produced by increasing number of buses,trucks, motor cycle, train, etc are the source of noise pollution.
